Political Video Types: A Production Reference

This is a catalog of production inputs, not advice about which message to run or whom to persuade. The authorized campaign chooses its content and channels.

Local draft and source check: . Not a publication date.

What the campaign must supply

Illustrative brief lengths below are not placement recommendations or guaranteed outlet eligibility. Standard single-film references: 15s: $595; 30s: $895; 60s: $1,495. First-cut reference: 3 days after eligibility, written scope, assets, approvals and agreed payment are confirmed. This is not final delivery or platform approval.

Version the approved message without changing it

The standard rate card references 16:9 and 9:16 delivery. For a 1:1, 4:5, CTV or broadcast master, first obtain the actual outlet specification and agree any additional production scope. A compatible resolution does not establish political-ad acceptance.

A six-second cut is not a new published price tier here, and brevity does not itself exempt a covered ad from disclosures. A separate language version needs an authorized campaign approval and a qualified language reviewer; this English guide does not assert that such review has occurred.

  • Record file, language, aspect ratio, exact runtime and approved script revision.
  • Keep the sponsor identity and required AI labels in each individual version.
  • Do not remove a qualification, source attribution or context to fit a shorter cut.
  • Return changed facts or wording to campaign and legal approval.
  • Check caption placement and rendered readability in the outlet's player.

A label is not permission to fabricate

FEC guidance explains that specified fraudulent misrepresentation can involve AI or other technologies. Platforms and state rules may require additional labels. Filmito's proposed safeguards reject fabricated evidence and deceptive impersonation, even if a label could be added.

Sources and review status

Compiled with AI-assisted research from the official sources linked on this page, checked on 3 and 4 October 2026. A lawyer has not reviewed it. This is a production reference, not legal advice, a compliance certification or permission to book or publish an ad.

Filmito production references come from the existing local rate card and proposed safeguards. They have not been validated as a permissible U.S. service offering.

  1. FEC: AI rulemaking disposition and interpretive rule (2024)

Historical official action checked. It describes technology-neutral fraudulent misrepresentation, not a general AI-label mandate or permission to use deepfakes.
