Case study · Growth plan · One month

One photograph of a can.A character with a hundred lives.

Be The Kaptaan is a Filmito case study in which one month of the Growth plan, at $2,497, turned a single product photograph into a fully AI-produced beer campaign: one 72-second brand epic, three story-led retargeting films, and vertical editions of all four, eight finished deliverables in one month.

The myth · 72 seconds

The Main Film: a hundred lives, one spirit

The origin epic. One man carries the same eyes through every age: a primeval jungle where a tyrannosaur drinks at the waterhole, the first fire, a desert caravan toasting over a pyramid of bottles, a chest of treasure, a storm at sea with him at the helm, a royal court raising glasses. It ends where the brand lives, in the modern skyline, with the can in his hand. Advertising's job here is not a discount. It is to make one face unforgettable.

The brief

The client sent one image.

No footage. No actors. No locations. No shot list. No existing brand film to cut from. The entire input for this campaign was a photograph of the KAPTAAN can. Filmito wrote the story, invented the character, built the worlds, cast the faces, designed the sound, and delivered the campaign.

That is the point of the character: Kaptaan is not only a beer. He is the brand. Once he exists, anything can be made around him, and every new film makes the ones before it work harder.

“When audiences remember the stories, they can never forget the product.”
Shivam Bharatkumar · Director, Filmito

The system

The epic plants the myth. The retargeting compounds it.

Most retargeting shows the same ad again with a discount. Story-led retargeting gives the viewer a new chapter instead: the lore, the bond, the joke. Each film hits a different feeling, and all three deepen the same character, so frequency builds a world instead of wearing one out.

The lore · 33 seconds

Retargeting film one: The Lives of the Kaptaan

The universe expands with numbered past lives, each a genre short. Life 23, The Jungle: a tiger drinks from his clay pot. Life 61, The Palace. Then The Frontier, a western standoff that turns into a horse chase with a boxing glove. A viewer who met the myth in the main film now gets chapters of it, and every chapter re-sells the same character.

The bond · 19 seconds

Retargeting film two: Crack it with your brother

Two friends on a small boat, a storm wall ahead, the Singapore skyline behind it. One is terrified. The Kaptaan is calm at the wheel. They come through the rain into golden hour, open a cooler of cans, and the line lands: crack it with your brother. Nineteen seconds, one emotion, straight to the product.

The wink · 28 seconds

Retargeting film three: Kaptaan News

A live breaking-news broadcast about the man himself, with the Kaptaan and his sidekick as guests at the desk. The ticker does the comedy: MAN CLAIMS ONE HUNDRED LIVES. WITNESS: HE DOES NOT LIKE EVEN NUMBERS. FORMER KING CONFIRMS: BRIEFLY. SEARCH ENDS AFTER TEN THOUSAND YEARS. He drinks live on air. The anchor keeps reading. This is the film people forward.

The formats

Four films. Eight files.

Every master ships with a platform-native vertical edition, recomposed shot by shot rather than cropped, so the campaign runs on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok on day one. Eight finished files, each one platform-correct.

  • 4 horizontal masters for YouTube and web
  • 4 vertical editions for Shorts, Reels, and TikTok
  • Full rights transferred on delivery

A traditional shoot for these five worlds would mean casting, costumes, locations, a dinosaur, a ship, a palace, and a news studio. Here they cost imagination, not logistics.

Questions buyers ask about this campaign.

How does the same character stay consistent across every era and film?

Filmito locks the character as a reusable digital cast member before production begins: face, build, wardrobe logic, and how he holds himself. Every scene in every film is then generated against that locked cast, which is why the man drinking from a stone bowl in the jungle, the captain in the storm, and the guest at the news desk all read as one person. The supporting cast is locked the same way, so even the sidekick recurs across films.

What did the client actually provide?

One photograph of the can. There was no footage, no actors, no locations, no shot list, and no brand film to cut from. Story, character, worlds, sound, and edit were all built by Filmito. That is the standard starting point for the Growth plan: a product and a goal are enough.

What does one month of the Growth plan include?

Growth is $2,497 per month and delivers 4 unique ads every month, written, directed, and produced by Filmito, with platform-native vertical editions. In this month that meant the 72-second brand epic, three retargeting films, and vertical cuts of all four: eight finished files. Every price is public at filmito.io/pricing.
