Every video ad we have shipped follows the same seven-step process. It is boring on paper, brutal in execution, and it works. Here it is, unedited.

Step 1: Name the viewer

Not a demographic. A person. Write one sentence about their day, what frustrates them, what they want, what they are about to click on before you stop them. If you cannot name them, you are not ready to shoot.

Step 2: Pick the one job

The ad does exactly one thing: book a demo, drive a purchase, start a trial, or shift brand perception. Pick one. Every creative decision gets tested against that one.

Step 3: Steal the hook structure

Spend an hour scrolling the platform your ad will run on. Save the three ads that stopped your own thumb. Study why. The opening frame of your ad should steal the best structural move from one of them.

Step 4: Write the ad backwards

Start from the CTA. What exact sentence do you want them to hear right before clicking? Then the supporting beat before that. Then the emotional turn before that. Finally the hook. A script written backwards cuts 40 percent of its own fat.

Step 5: Shoot two hooks

Film or generate the opening three seconds in two different styles. Same script, different visual energy. Test them against each other in your first 48 hours of spend. The winning hook informs everything you make next.

Step 6: Cut to the shortest length that works

A 15-second ad that lands beats a 30-second ad that wanders. Start at 30, cut it to 20, cut it to 15. Stop when the message stops working. The shorter edit is almost always the stronger ad.

Step 7: Publish before it's perfect

You will iterate in market faster than you will in review. Ship at 90 percent. Track for 72 hours. Cut a variant based on what worked. Ship again.
